The factory boasts three interconnected standard workshops, with a total roof area of about 11,000 square meters.Project BackgroundIn the first quarter of 2025, the electricity price for industrial and commercial use in Vietnam rose to USD 0.112/kWh, resulting in an average monthly electricity bill of over USD 32,000 for the factory, with the electricity cost accounting for 13% of the total expenses. Meanwhile, EU customers require that the proportion of green electricity in the supply chain be no less than 30% from 2026 onwards. The factory has decided to install photovoltaic panels on the roofs of all three factory buildings.investment modelWe have signed a 15-year power purchase agreement, with the electricity price calculated at 78% of the grid price, and zero investment required from the factory. Our company is responsible for the full investment of approximately $980,000, and is the sole investor in this photovoltaic project.project constructionConstruction began in June 2025, utilizing a total of 2,184 JA Solar 550Wp modules, with a total installed capacity of 1,201kWp. Ten Growatt 110kW string inverters were selected. The project was completed and connected to the grid by the end of August. During the construction period, the roof was reinforced, and drilling was arranged during non-production hours.operating dataFrom September 2025 to February 2026, the cumulative electricity generation over six months amounted to 724,000 kWh, with an average of 120,700 kWh per month, and a self-consumption ratio of 93%. The factory saved approximately $2,700 in electricity bills per month, with an estimated total savings of $32,000 for the entire year.Environmental benefitsAnnual CO₂ emissions reduction of approximately 1,140 tons.Project ArchivesInstalled capacity: 1.2 MWpAnnual power generation: approximately 1.45 million kWhInvestor: Blue Sun Pte LtdGrid connection time: August 2025
